Horned Owls and Barn Owls have similar techniques of ingesting and expelling their pellets, with a few differences that make these pellets interesting to compare. Sizes range from 1 inch and larger, are chalky gray and have broken bones.  Click on details to learn more.

Crows will often occupy a Horned or Barn Owl nest or roost in the owl's absence. Crows are bottom feeders in the bird world, but pellets will reveal insects, grain, and more.  It's the more part that is scary.
